Baby Tutorial: Reusable Baby Wipes
Go green with these pretty flannel reusable baby wipes. Cleaning up never looked this cute!
Finished Size: 7 ½” square approximately
Difficulty: Easy
Time to make: 5 mins per wipe
If you know a new parent who is planning on using cloth diapers, a stack of reusable wipes can be a thoughtful gift! They can be made with or without a serger.
Tip: Prewash your flannel fabrics, as this will prevent shrinkage after completion.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 metre flannel fabric (shop here for flannel fabrics)
- Quilting ruler, mat and rotary cutter
- Serger or pinking shears
Cut your flannel into five 7 ½” strips, which can then be cut into five 7 ½” squares, for a total of 25 squares.
Use pinking shears to finish the edges, or a serger if you have one.
The wipes are done! If gifting as a bundle, you could moisten the wipes with a solution of diluted baby wash and then concertina-fold them into a wipes box or warmer as a complete and ready-to-go package.
