Difficulty: Intermediate
Time to make: 30-45 mins
With just a scrap of jersey and ⅛” elastic, you can whip up a pair of gloves to stop baby from scratching their face.
Seam allowances are ¼” unless stated otherwise.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- This template
- Sewing machine with a zigzag stitch
- A scrap or ¼” of jersey knit fabric
- 8″ of ⅛” wide elastic
- Ruler and fabric marker
- Ballpoint machine needle
- Scissors
- Wonder Clips (optional)
Use the provided template to cut out four pieces of jersey. You will also need to cut the elastic into four 2″ lengths.
Fold the bottom edges under ¼” and zigzag stitch to hem.
Measure 1″ from the bottom and mark. Align the elastic with marked lines.
Zigzag stitch the elastic in place, pulling it tight so that it stretches the full width of the jersey. Repeat with all four pieces.
Align two pieces right sides together and clip together. Zigzag stitch around the curves from cuff to cuff. Turn right side out and press lightly.
